DIY Craft | Family Tree in Scrabble Style
To celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, my eldest daughter gifted us a beautiful family tree wall decoration. I was so thrilled with it and wanted to share this idea to inspire you to create a thoughtful and uncomplicated gift for someone special in your life!
You will require:
- Scrabble letter tiles for the names or words you wish to include
- Two pieces of contrasting scrapbook paper
- Scissors or a utility knife to create the heart shape
- Adhesive to attach the letters
- A shallow shadow box frame
She arranged the Scrabble letters until she achieved her desired layout and then decided where to place the heart.
You have the option to replicate her method by cutting out a heart shape and placing contrasting paper below it or creating a “floating” heart using a heart cutout from contrasting paper, reinforced with stiffer material suspended with double-sided adhesive pads.
Finally, frame it in a shallow shadow box, and you have a memorable keepsake that will be treasured for years!
