Oreo Peppermint Bark

It’s surprising, but once Thanksgiving is over, my taste buds start craving peppermint. While pumpkin still calls my name, nothing beats the allure of peppermint.

Every December, the children and I indulge in peppermint bark. When I discovered this Oreo-infused version, I knew it would be an instant favorite.

Ingredients:
– 20 Starlight Mints or 10 small Candy Canes
– 12 Oreos
– 8 oz Chocolate Chips
– 8 oz White Chocolate Chips

Preparation Steps

Making this treat is straightforward.

  • Start by lining a cookie sheet with wax paper.
  • Crush the Oreos in a food processor, leaving them in larger chunks.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 45-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth.
  • Spread the melted chocolate onto the lined tray and level it out.

Layering Oreos

  • Sprinkle the crushed Oreos evenly on top of the melted chocolate.
  • Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to firm up.
  • Use the food processor again to crush the mints.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave similarly until fully melted and smooth.
  • Pour the melted white chocolate over the Oreo layer, smoothing it out to create an even top layer.

Final Layer of Peppermint

  • Top the white chocolate with the crushed peppermint.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set completely.
  • Once set, break into pieces for serving.
  • ENJOY!

  10. Sprinkle peppermint on the white chocolate.
  11. Refrigerate for 30 minutes for the set.
  12. Break into pieces for serving.
